Have you ever read the words “fear not” in scripture and thought — “That’s easier said than done”? You’re not alone. Fear is one of the most real and universal human experiences. It shows up uninvited, often at the worst possible moments — when we’re facing something hard, something unknown, or something that feels too big for us to handle.
But here’s what Joyce Meyer teaches us that changes everything — when God says “fear not” He is not saying you will never feel fear. He is not asking you to pretend the fear isn’t there or to act like everything is fine when it isn’t.
What He IS saying is this — when you feel fear, don’t run. Stand firm and keep moving forward.
Fear is a feeling. And feelings, as real as they are, do not have to determine our actions. You can feel afraid AND still take the next step. You can feel overwhelmed AND still choose to trust God. You can feel weak AND still keep moving forward — because it is not your strength holding you up. It is His.

Notice God doesn’t say “I will remove every scary thing from your path.” He says “I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you.” He goes with you through the fear — holding you up every step of the way.
Friend, whatever has been making you afraid lately — don’t run from it. Don’t let fear freeze you in place or drive you backwards. Feel it, acknowledge it, bring it to God in prayer — and then take one step forward. Then another. And another.
He is with you. He is YOUR God. And His righteous right hand will not let you fall. 🤍
